Zachary Hoerster, DDS

Dr. Zac Hoerster was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Tx. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Austin where he received a bachelor of science in Human Biology and a minor in business. Dr. Hoerster then went on to graduate from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. He was one of the very few students to pass every one of his practical’s demonstrating exceptional dental dexterity from the very beginning. He also led his flag football team to win the Houston medical center championship as quarterback.

His parents, Rick and Pat, grandmother Maxie aka Oma, and aunt and uncle all live in Fredericksburg as well. Dr. Hoerster is without a doubt a country boy spending most of his non-working hours outdoors with family and friends. Captain of both the football and soccer teams at FHS growing up, Dr. Hoerster still enjoys playing soccer and keeping fit, but typically enjoys spending time playing those “life-long sports” such as golf and tennis. Dr. Hoerster’s favorite hobbies are golf and acoustic guitar and he believes “these activities require a lot of patience, finesse and precision which fortunately translate well for the field of dentistry.”

Dr. Hoerster understands that most people carry some anxiety with having the mouth inspected and treated. His approach to patient care is revealed in a non-judgemental, caring way in which he often quotes that he believes “the mouth is the most sensitive part of the body.” He is strong proponent of the positive attitude, patient education and a gentle touch. Dr. Hoerster is friendly, works well with kids, he loves what he does, and he aims to get things done right the first time. To help him accomplish this, he listens to his patients’ expectations and strives to accommodate each individual routine and restorative cosmetic dentistry needs.

Dr. Hoerster’s wife Andria grew up in New Braunfels and they stay busy helping raise big-hearted, 11 year old Landen and sweet loving 9 month-old baby George. Dr. Hoerster feels fortunate to have a family that he is able to share similar hobby interests in exploring the great outdoors, tennis, golf, and traveling to discover different areas of the world and their respective cultures and foods. Dr. Hoerster looks forward to getting to know you and your family too!
